City of Skate is an advocacy group with the mission to build world class public skateparks in the city of Minneapolis. We crafted a versatile identity system, drawing on shapes found in the parks themselves. This modular identity reflects the colors, textures and overall skatepark design in its formal approach. This visual language is the building blocks for all of the advocacy efforts, storytelling and fundraising tools that help the cause.

Furthering the cause

When developing the brand for City of Skate, there was a lot of work put in to build out all of the communication channels including digital, social, print flyers for events.

Telling the story of skateboarding's importance

There have been many opportunities to tell the story of why we need better skateparks in Minnesota. Enlisting the local skateboard community to create amazing pieces of storytelling has been instrumental in fundraising and getting support of local and state government.
